Now it’s down to the nitty-gritty. Paying bills, juggling schedules, babysitting, fatigue, frustration, are all of the everyday events that used to send me to the freezer for ice cream or to the local fast food place for french fries. How do you handle the challenges of living without relying on the numbing effect of food? I welcome your suggestions and comments.

Stop, take a deep breath, and think of a bible verse…sometimes I write it down a couple times just for extra brain retention, and send up a prayer.

Been catching up on your journal, you have been a busy lady! Well done! I am going to try that gazpacho! 🙂 I have also been eating my veggies & just started adding healthy fats back in as well as limited dairy..and soon grain..I can’t wait to have steel cut oats & oatmeal w/fresh fruit & greek yogurt next week! Everything does taste SO much better after all these weeks of no artificial sugars & prepared food additives! I have learned this summer how often I personally had been mindlessly eating during the day, keeping to 5-6 small meals so I’m never starving helps! Keeping some protein & fruit or veggies handy help out too. I have tamed the craving beast at the moment…when I want to eat just b/c that has been my bad habit, I am creating new healthy habits…. I reach for a glass of ice water, put on my favorite song, or get up and go clean/organize something. Basically, I just choose anything that does not involve food…..so it stands to reasong that when I’m stressed this school year, my house will be clean…hee hee, yeah right! I can still dream…. 🙂
